James B. Kanuch, CPA, CFE, is a Senior Manager at RSM US LLP. He has over 29 years of auditing experience, of which the last 25 have been spent serving not-for-profit organizations, principally in performing audit, tax and consulting services. Kanuch is actively involved in the not-for-profit community and has delivered presentations to several industry groups and written articles on emerging issues affecting not-for-profit organizations.

Kanuch performs a substantial number of audits in accordance with uniform guidance for organizations with $1 million to over $40 million in annual revenues. He has also prepared and reviewed tax returns for not-for-profit clients.

Prior to 2016, he worked for a national accounting firm as a Director. Kanuch began his career at a “big four” public accounting firm performing audits and providing tax and consulting services to clients.
