Information Technology, Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility
Ms. Carol Rieg is employed by SAIC, a premier technology integrator solving our nation’s most complex modernization and readiness challenges across the defense, space, federal civilian, and intelligence markets. Rieg supports the US Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information Technology (IT) operations with strategic planning, executive briefings, fiscal reviews, and Congressional inquiries. Additionally, Rieg supports software development lifecycle processes including planning, governance, operations, acquisitions, development of new solutions, and transitions.
Previously, Rieg served as the global corporate foundation officer of Bentley Systems, a multinational company with $700 million in annual revenues, providing comprehensive infrastructure and engineering software solutions. Rieg distributed more $10 million to support charitable and natural disaster causes.
Rieg was responsible for establishing and building the Bentley Systems corporate giving program in 50 countries with financial support focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) educational programs, matching donation initiatives supporting catastrophic natural disaster relief efforts, and volunteer leadership activities engaging 3,300 employees.
Rieg also co-founded and served as national director of the Future City Competition program, reaching 500,000 middle school students nationwide. The Future City Competition STEM-based program continues to operate in 40 U.S. and international regions, impacting 40,000 middle school students on an annual basis. Rieg raised more than $800,000 on behalf of the Future City Competition from corporate and nonprofit resources.
Currently, Rieg serves as Chair for the City of Gaithersburg’s Board of Appeals. Carol started her professional career as a senior auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
